Account information included on client reports and the client portal (site) is generated as a courtesy and is for Informational Purposes only and is not intended, in any manner, as an official brokerage, insurance, or mutual fund statement. This information is not to be used as an official books and records statement of the Firm. You should be receiving monthly or quarterly statements for your account holdings directly from the account custodian and/or product sponsors. We urge you to compare the holdings listed on the custodian’s statement to the information reported by our data providers. Should you note any discrepancies, please contact us immediately.
DATA IN REPORTS OR DISPLAYED ON THE SITE MAY BE PROVIDED BY THIRD PARTY PROVIDERS. We believe the sources to be reliable, however, the accuracy and completeness of the information are not guaranteed. In the event of a discrepancy, the custodians’ and/or sponsor’s valuation shall prevail. Data reflected within reports and/or site may reflect assets held at various custodians and may not be covered under SIPC. Certain reported entities may be SIPC members that provide coverage for assets held there. You should contact your advisor, or the entity, or refer to the entity’s statement, regarding SIPC coverage.
Cost basis information may be incomplete or may not accurately reflect the methodology used by a particular client. Clients should consult with their tax advisor. Throughout the reports and/or site, the abbreviation “TS” stands for “tax sensitive”. This does not guarantee that assets within the portfolio are managed for tax sensitivity, capital gains, and/or income taxes.
We may include your Fixed Annuity and Insurance contract values in reports and/or site. Life Insurance contract values, where indicated, may not include outstanding loan amounts (if applicable). Fixed Insurance programs may receive interest credits based on various time intervals as defined in your individual contract. For this reason, please pay close attention to the “As of Date” listed in your “Account Holdings” section, which may differ from your actual report date. Please confirm all Life Insurance and Annuity values directly with the issuing company. Insurance product guarantees are subject to the claims-paying ability of the issuing company.
The values, where indicated, of Direct Participation Programs (DPPs) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) have been provided by the DPPs or REITs, generally through an intermediary, and purport to reflect an estimate of the interest in the DPP or REIT represented by the units or shares described above. DPP and REIT securities are generally illiquid, and the value stated may not be realized when you seek to liquidate the security.
Asset Allocation charts with labels including "other", “remaining” and/or “unassigned” may include securities classified as "other" by the provider of asset classification data, as well as securities that did not fit in the other slices displayed. Asset allocation and diversification do not ensure or guarantee better performance and cannot eliminate the risk of investment losses.
For fee-based accounts only: Performance calculations (if applicable) may or may not reflect the deduction of investment advisory fees. If the investment is being managed through a fee based account or agreement, the returns may be reduced by those applicable advisory fees. Not all assets on the reports and/or site are necessarily being billed for advisory fees.
In general, performance calculations (if applicable) may or may not reflect the deduction of third party fees, including but not limited to advisory fees, investment management fees, rider charges, mortality, and administrative expenses, etc. Performance calculations (if applicable) are performed using the Time Weighted Rate of Return (TWR) Calculation method. This method eliminates the effects of cash flows by neutralizing them so that they do not help or hinder comparative performance. For certain assets, the prices listed in the reports and/or site may be different than the prices listed on the statement you receive from the custodian or product sponsor. Generally, this is caused by differing settlement pricing procedures between the custodian and third party provider.
Performance data quoted represents past performance and does not guarantee future results. The investment return and principal of an investment will fluctuate so that an investor’s shares/units when redeemed may be worth more or less than original cost. The values represented on the report and/or site may not reflect the true original cost of your initial investment. Changes in investment strategies, contributions or withdrawals, and economic conditions may materially alter the performance of your portfolio.
